I noticed a huge bird flying yesterday while driving down the road. I pointed and said that I thought it might be an eagle, a bird that I have only seen one other time in it’s natural setting. I turned down a little road and followed the bird to a telephone pole that it had landed on. Once it landed, it spread it’s wings and looked absolutely huge!
After a few moments of sitting there, staring, I decided to glance around. That is the moment that I noticed that there was not just one, but 8 of them sitting on three different poles. Upon further investigation, these majestic creatures were not eagles, but rather turkey buzzards! We sat and watched for a few minutes, I admired their high flights and large wingspans–I had never come across a group of these birds that were not on a dead carcass. It was very cool and made my day!
